Remember that funny scene in “The Lion King” where Simba finds his roar? The story goes that Simba must find his roar before he is considered a true cub and not just a baby. He was announcing his presence to the world, in other words.

Follow The Wolf is howling with pride over our new solution for start-up owners. The program is called The First Howl, and it is something we have been building for over a year.

The First Howl — For Founders Ready to Get It Right From the Start

So, what is this new thing with the cool name?

The First Howl is a series of focused strategic discussions with our founder, Jonathan Godwin, designed to give you clarity and confidence to navigate your new venture’s monetary and tax landscape. No accounting, no tax preparation or advisory, but a wealth of knowledge from 30+ years of experience working with small businesses and start-ups to ensure your business is fit from the very beginning.

We had been working on an outline of this new solution, but it just wasn’t coming together. There was something missing. So, we were approached in Sept 2024 by an entrepreneurial couple who were planning to open their first business in late 2025; they wanted to learn what they didn’t know about starting a business. They asked me for recommendations of books or courses, and I decided it was time to roll this new idea out. I put together the prototype and worked with this awesome couple (who are now monthly accounting clients) for three months, covering all the facts, tips, and war stories that we have accumulated over our career of working with small businesses. Their feedback was very flattering, and they even offered me some ideas on how to improve the course. The First Howl was born!

What Start-ups Can Expect From The First Howl

We get to share our knowledge all day, every day, with so many fantastic business owners. This engagement is different from our popular Monthly Accounting with Strategic Direction engagements:

  • The First Howl has a finite beginning and end. We will cover up to 6 topics with you, depending on the option you choose.
  • Our first option, Crucial, offers two meetings focused on Entity Choice and Accounting Systems. This option requires an investment of $1,250.
  • Our second option, Vital, offers four meetings including Crucial topics plus Tax Structure and Outsourcing. This option requires an investment of $3,000.
  • Our third option, Decisive, offers six meetings including Vital topics plus Financial Statements and Feelings. Yeah, we talk about feelings. Running a business has an emotional component as well, right? This option requires an investment of $5,550.

If you are about to start a new business, or you know someone who is, we would love to discuss this program with you. You can reach out to your future pack here and inquire about a meeting. In the meantime, keep howling!
